How Does Refrigeration Work?
1. Right when the temperature inside the refrigerator rises higher than the set point sensors alert the compressor to engage, and the cool down starts. The appliance collects the cold liquified refrigerant, then pressurizes and condenses it, and raises the temperature, turning it into a gas.
2. The refrigerator compressor directs the heated gas in the direction of the refrigerator condenser coils on the outside of the appliance, where it comes into contact with warmer temperature in the room and returns to a liquified state.
3. The cool refrigerant then continues on its journey to the evaporator component, traveling through the coils on the interior of the refrigerator and top freezer.
4. The refrigerant then absorbs the heated air from the interior of the appliance, thereby lowering the temperature until it has reached the best final point.
5. The refrigerant then evaporates, and turns back into a gas form, and returns to the refrigerator compressor to continue the cycle.
